I write vibrant and engaging copy for both print and online outlets. Having held a variety of jobs in my time, writing has been the one consistent element in these, and I have been working as a proofreader, copywriter and editorial assistant in a freelance capacity for over four years.

I am comfortable working to a company’s tone and register, and have experience devising content stategies and editorial tone of voice for a brand.

The content I write is sharp and fun to read, and informative without being prescriptive.

In addition to this, my most recent work has led me to greatly expand my copywriting knowledge, particularly with regards to SEO-friendly copy, online marketing and social media. I am available to consult on social media strategy, company tone and how to develop a brand’s voice.

I enjoy working on several projects at once and do not shy away from a deadline.

Bio:

Words have always been a huge part of my life, and are something which I hope to always be working with.

I have been proofreading and editing from a young age, for Random Animals Press, and the local freesheet, then moved on to producing copy for my student paper and the creative writing society while at university.
I graduated from the University of St Andrews in 2009 with a degree in English and Film Studies, and since have maintained several freelance writing and editing contracts.
I currently work writing copy for an events site in Edinburgh, www.clicket.co.uk, but continue to work freelance as a copywriter.

I blog regularly at Taxidermy Mouse, and also for the fashion site, Catwalk Genius. I am currently covering the Edinburgh International Film Festival for This Is Central Station.
